On the 7th and 8th of November 2024, the third consortium meeting of the FORTIFIEDx project took place in Antwerp, Belgium.
The first day started with progress updates of the partners, followed by a tour of the laboratories of the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp. We then enjoyed an immersive visit to Chocolate Nation, an experience museum about Belgian chocolate—complete with a delicious tasting session—and wrapped up the evening with a traditional Belgian dinner.
Day two brought further updates and engaging discussions among partners, setting the stage for continued collaboration. After this productive two-day meeting, we’re energized and ready to take the next steps in advancing point-of-care diagnostics!
